Rotary District 7780 Bio-Sand filters being transported to Villages

Week number five and the fabrication of well and latrine rings, cover plates and squat toilet foundations begins with materials delivered last week.

The local Pagoda has allowed us to set up on their grounds in a large lean to and use their pond for concrete mixing water. We are a short lived but substantial economic factor in the surrounding villages.

You can see in the attached photos that sand and rock and the forms for pouring concrete have been delivered and production will start this week.

Our first batch of thirty-two Bio-Sand Filters were trucked from Water for Cambodia (WFC) to the Pagoda…about a four-hour ordeal. They will be stored waiting for the installation crew that visits every family and installs the filter and instructs them on its use.
