Community Spirit:
As you scan through these photos please note the families helping each other to install the wells. This is not the norm in very poor villages. People are kind and gentle, but they are destitute and tend to keep to themselves. The well construction and now meeting at the wells daily has created a sense of community that previously did not exist.
The school hygiene program and Tippy-Tap hand washing stations got the kids on board. We had parents approach us in two villages telling about their children bringing the hygiene message home from school.
