When we started this project there was a lot of skepticism about whether the villagers would be motivated to actually finish their latrines.  Remember we are only supplying a starter kit and they are responsible for putting in the floor, finishing the basins and squat toilet, building the walls, installing a door and constructing a roof.

This is a lot of work and a considerable “buy-in” on the part of the villagers.  They have met and exceeded all of our expectations and latrines are pooping up 🙂 all over the three villagers.
