Jen, Shelby and I get the accolades, but we are truly the tip of the iceberg. We get to travel to exotic lands and spend other people’s money helping the appreciative and delightful Cambodian people. However, we are the very grateful tip of a huge pyramid of support.

I will list a few of our supporters. This recognition will not win them any prizes, but it is an acknowledgement of their contributions to Getting Water Right’s 2020 mobilization.

– Dozens of special donors helping less fortunate people that they will never meet

– Rotary Club of Bath, Rotary Club of Bath Sunrise, Rotary Club of Boothbay Harbor and Rotary Club of Wells-Maine

– International Service Committee, Rotary Club of Bath

– Rotary District 7780

– Lisa Van Hemelrijck, International Executive Director of the Rotary Club of Middletown, RI. Lisa is responsible for Water for Cambodia

– Luigi Giani, Director of Operations for Water for Cambodia (WFC) in Cambodia

– The wonderful staff of WFC in particular:

Sisovan, Community Mobilizer,

Sros, Quality Control Officer

Samley, Wash Officer

Huch, Project Officer

Sophoan and Hun, BSF Installers

The staff at WFC are devoted to helping their people. Not a day in the field passes without a word or gesture from Samley or Huch saying thank you to us. The success of our program is safe in their hands.

–  Sea, who we engage each year as our guide, interpreter and teacher, is a WASH expert. He takes time off from his regular job to support our mission. His words below, copied from a FB post, express it best.

“Foreigners travel far away and spend time, money, energy to help raise the health of the citizen in the rural to get clean water and clean. As we are fellow people, what can we join to help? Please friends help comment!
Big Thanks my dear friends.”

 –  Special thanks to the Commune Chief, six village Chiefs and four school principals who are all looking out for the welfare of their flock.

– The villagers demonstrated their willingness to cooperate and work hard to improve their family’s health. It was a joy to see the smiles and hear the laughter as they built their latrines, dug wells and picked up their water filters.
