What a productive week in the villages! We met with 3 village chiefs from our 2018 field work in Char, Romeat and Kandal to make sure all systems were functioning, checked in with 3 new village chiefs in Sala, Leap and Kouk Pnow, discussed our hygiene class at 4 schools and watched 3 villages compete in a soccer tournament using the field we installed our last trip.

During all of this, we had the privilege of living within the home of a cashew farmer and were fed real home-cooking,  Khmer style! Our dear hostess was intrigued with us Americans, and quite curious to learn about us as we were her. Over the last week, we have picked up some terms and words and can almost understand some sentences when we tune into their conversations.

So much to say, and so much more to do!
