Water for Cambodia

Hand washing is the most effective measure for preventing the spread of COVID-19, provided the poor and vulnerable have access to clean water.

As the Corona Virus pandemic spreads across the globe, the importance of access to clean water and sanitation is reinforced.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized the importance of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in its interim emergency guidance “Water, sanitation, hygiene and waste management for COVID-19”.

Thanks to the vision and determination of one single man we are now providing access to clean and safe water to additional 435 households in six rural villages in Srey Snam district, Siem Reap province. This is actually the second phase of an intervention which started in 2018. By the end of these two phases of the “Getting Water Right” we will have built/rehabilitated 36 water wells, provided 428 Bio-Sand Filters and 132 latrines. We will have reached and made a great impact on the lives of over 1,000 households (over 6,000 people). Thank you, Rich Cromwell for making all this possible.
