The Interact Club of Morse High School in Bath, Maine is a Rotary sponsored club for young people ages 12-18 which endeavors to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self. They are involved in local projects that benefit the community while teaching key leadership skills.
The clean water initiative undertaken by the Rotary Club of Bath Maine through an affiliated organization called Getting Water Right served as the inspiration for The Morse Interact Club getting involved in clean water activities in Cambodia. To support the need for clean water they ran a bake sale in December to raise money to buy three water filters for a remote Cambodian village.
Not only were they successful in raising enough money to buy the three water filters, but their donation to Getting Water Right pushed the organization passed the $10,000 threshold.
